All scans performed at Coastal Bloom Co. are non-diagnostic and are designed for family bonding and keepsake purposes - a space for a beautiful experience to create memories with your baby!

Please note, due to our staff being accredited diagnostic Sonographers we have a professional duty of care.

While our sessions are not intended to assess medical conditions or pathology, if we observe anything that appears outside limits expected for your gestation, we will follow a clear policy and professional protocol. This may include recommending that you follow up with your healthcare provider or referring doctor for further medical assessment and formal diagnostic ultrasounds.

Yours and your baby's wellbeing will always come first, and this approach ensures we maintain safe, responsible practice, while still providing a special bonding experience for families.

Our sessions range between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on package type and baby's position.

Why don't our sessions go over 30 minutes, you wonder...

Ultrasound imaging follows ALARA principle, which stands for "As Low As Reasonably Achievable". This means that ultrasound exposure is kept to the lowest level and shortest time necessary while still obtaining the images we desire to keep your baby safe.

For this reason, our sessions are carefully structured and do not exceed 30 minutes in any one session. Shorter, well planned sessions help ensure we follow best practice safety guidelines; limit ultrasound exposure time; keep your baby and yourself comfortable; and capture those special images and memories while maintaining safe and responsible ultrasound.

We recommend drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to help produce clearer images.

On the day of your appointment, stay hydrated and drink a few glasses of water an hour before your appointment and hold for the scan. We don't want you busting, just comfortable for the best images!

Organise your crew to come along and arrive 10 mins before your scheduled appointment time to make sure you get the best experience out of your scheduled time slot.

Absolutely! Our studio has been designed to create a warm, relaxed space for family bonding. Partners, siblings, and all loved ones are welcome.

Our premium room can accommodate up to 6 adults and 2-4 children.

We have a space for kids where they can read books, play blocks or draw. We also have 2 Big Screen TVs for all to watch baby move and experience the bond.

We love seeing families laugh and share these precious first moments together.
